Tables for holes and fasteners

Threaded holes must be of specific size to accommodate standard screws. This table shows US standard screw sizes on one page, and metric screw sizes on the next. "Clearance" holes are made with larger drill bits, and are designed to let the threaded fastener pass through the hole without engaging any threads Drill sizes for threaded fasteners

Drill bits are labeled with 4 different size standards -- letters A-Z; numbers 1-80; fractional inches; and metric. This table shows all 4, with equivalencies. The range is from 0.014" to 1.000" Size and equivalency for standard drill bits
