This is advanced training for use of woodworking tools with higher risk of serious injury. Completion of the Wood-2 training allows access to

  • table saw
  • router
  • miter saws


Step One

Read through the presentations linked below and complete the quiz at the end.

EITHER (Preferred, because it includes good videos): Read the five modules of this "instructable" and also complete the online quiz at the end of the presentation (below)

OR (Second choice, because the videos are only static images): Read the pdf version of the "instructable" here and complete the quiz at the end of the presentation (below)

AND Study the Wood-2 Presentation and take the quiz at the end


Review Training Presentation

Step Two

Contact a training Fab Tech to schedule an appointment. A list of approved Fab Techs is available in the MakerSpace.

Use all of the tools listed above to build this widget: Wood-2 Design Plan to demonstrate that you are able to safely use these tools.
